Where to find your MAC address

Router
If you are using a router, you will need to provide VMMICRO.NET the WAN MAC address of the router. Sometimes routers will have two MAC addresses, one each for the WAN and LAN Ethernet connections. We need the WAN MAC address. Consult the user guide for your router to be able to tell the difference.

Computer
To find out your MAC address, look below to find the operating system of your computer and follow the instructions.

Windows 95, 98 and ME computers

Step 1: From the Windows Desktop:
Step 2: Go to Start, then to Run
Step 3: Type in winipcfg and press enter
Step 4: From the dropdown list, find your network card
Step 5: Find the Adapter Address which is the MAC address
Step 6: Press OK to close window

Windows 2000 and XP computers

Step 1: From the Windows Desktop:
Step 2: Go to Start, then to Run
Step 3: Type in cmd and press OK
Step 4: This will bring you to the windows system level prompt
Step 5: At the C:\> prompt, type ipconfig /all and press enter
Step 6: Look for the Physical Address, which is the MAC address
Step 7: At the C:\> prompt, type exit to close the window

Macintosh computers

Step 1: From the Macintosh Desktop:
Step 2: From the Apple Menu Items, access control panels
Step 3: From control panels dialog box, access the TCP/IP control panel
Step 4: With the TCP/IP control panel selected, go to the File menu and select Get Info (Ctrl-I)
Step 5: The Get Info dialog box will list Hardware Address which is the MAC address
